We had our first good snow! There was plenty of fun to be had: the kids enjoyed sledding down our landlord's driveway next door and making forts and cities (complete with trade routes for the big trade in snow balls...transported by sled, of course).
We have also learned a couple of lessons in winter weather preparation for the the colder environs here in Pennsylvania. The van doors froze shut; that took a while to take care of. And initially, we could not get up our driveway without stopping to put on chains. That has all been remedied, and has us looking forward to more snow in the near future.
